Essential oils are aromatic liquids that are extracted from plant sources. Highly concentrated, and far more potent than dry herbs, essential oils have been used throughout history to promote good health and healing. While most people are familiar with a few oils, they are unaware of how many essential oils exist and the vast number of ways that essential oils can be used. From natural remedies to gardening, to cleaning and cooking, using essential oils can easily help you reduce the amount of chemicals in your home.
Not All Essential Oils Are Equal
Young Living essential oils are produced using a specialized five-step process known as Seed to SealTM to ensure every essential oil produced by Young Living is as pure and potent as nature intended.
The Seed to Seal Process
Seed: Young Living experts work in partnership with university experts to authenticate plant species and to verify that only the highest quality botanicals are being planted for harvest.
Cultivate: Growing and harvesting methods play a large role in the production of effective essential oils. Plants harvested to produce Young Living oils are grown organically on one of their farm locations around the world, or on co-op farms (which have had their growing processes certified by Young Living). Additionally, plants are cultivated and harvested in ways that allow the peak potency of the oil to be captured.
Distill: Combining ancient and modern techniques, Young Living uses proprietary oil extraction methods and is recognized as an essential oil distillation innovator. Young Living’s takes great measures to ensure that every beneficial compound remains uncompromised throughout the extraction process.
Test: Young Living has stringent specifications to ensure the optimal bioactive natural compounds are present in each oil and performs rigorous quality testing, including third-party audits, to verify that every oil exceeds international standards.
Seal: Young Living oils are bottled in protective amber glass at state-of-the-art facilities, where careful measures are taken to protect the quality of every bottle of essential oil that is delivered to customers.
